Description
This paper provides information on continuing quiet pavement research work being done in the State of Arizona. The historical development of the Arizona Department of Transportation’s research activities leading to today’s research program is outlined. Different methods of measuring tire/pavement noise are discussed and compared. Results of pavement noise testing for asphalt-rubber and Portland Cement Concrete pavements are presented. Current and future planned projects are given.
