Paper presents basic properties of asphalt mixtures containing asphalt rubber binders which are manufactured on an industrial scale in Poland. Asphalt-rubber mixtures produced in modernized mixing plant show above-standard properties in terms of resistance to fatigue cracking and permanent deformation. In this paper, first experiences from trial sections with use of these asphalt-rubber mixtures are also presented. It was concluded that experience gained in the research project led to the use of asphalt rubber binders technology
on many sections of rehabilitated and newly built roads in Poland. Presented results are part of an innovative research project supported by European Union funds.
