Description

Number of scrapped tire increases 12% every yea in Chinar, only 65% of which are utilized. The rubber recycling industry consume large amount of energy and cause serious air pollution. In the coming days, the industry utilizing crumb rubber will get more and more support of policy and law.
China government newly passed a plan to finish an 85000-km national expressway network in the following 30 years. The semi-rigid-base asphalt pavement is the most commonly used pavement structure in China, of which reflective cracking is the typical deterioration. On the other hand, there are much larger quantity of cracking PCCPs and asphalt pavements. The anti-reflective overlay is desired by highway administrators.
China began its research and application on rubberized asphalt pavement in early 1980s, got many test results and test sections, but do not see industrial application until 2003, due to problems of equipment, policy, specification, etc. The first comprehensive study on rubberized asphalt finished in 2003 had much accumulation. Gold Bond imported AR blender and spreader from US for the first time. Several test sections were constructed. Compounded
modified asphalt is also under developing.
