Mechanical Behavior of Asphalt Rubber Mixes Prepared in Laboratory

$7.00

Description

This study presents a number of characteristics of asphalt rubber binder samples prepared in laboratory and mechanical test results of asphalt rubber mixes. The properties of binder samples meet the SUPERPAVE specifications and other requirements for rubber modified asphalts. The mixtures were submitted to the following mechanical tests: indirect tensile strength, resilient modulus, dynamical and static axial creep and rutting resistance measured by LCPC wheel tracking. The results indicate improvement of the mixture properties due to rubber addition. A comparison between the results of performance tests with asphalt-rubber mixtures and other modified mixtures is also shown.
